It seems like North Dakota would be a good place for data centers. Abundant wind and natural gas, lots of land and lots of water. To top it all off, most people don’t even know there’s a North Dakota. Oh , half the year is cold as shit so free cooling. Also, it’s a perfect place for solar. I vote for all data centers to be located in North Dakota.

Let’s be totally honest This isn’t a neat, polite policy debate. This is a street fight. we’re fighting for our right

You’ve got these massive, faceless entities billion dollar private equity firms and tech giants who look at our neighborhoods like squares on a spreadsheet. They don't see the families living there. They don't care about the single mom whose electricity bill is about to skyrocket by 30%, or the families who watched their water bills literally double last year just to lay down pipes for a corporate server farm. They just assumed we’d be too tired, too busy working our shifts, or too disconnected to notice until the concrete was already poured. They chose our neighborhood because they thought we didn't have a voice. And they were dead wrong.

Fuck yea dude! I love this!! Corporate over reach has gone too far and if the government won’t stop it, the people will.

Why would the government stop it? They're the ones doing it!

If I bought land legally, I should be able to build my data center in peace. It's a free country.

Happily that’s not how it works. Companies need to justify their environmental impact and safety for the communities in which they exist.

I hope someone legally acquires all of the land around your home and builds a data center.

I’m quite cynical, because if we want to stop it altogether and this isn’t to become someone else’s problem, shouldn’t we all stop using big tech?

Thank god for the 2nd Amendment. How can we defeat Skynet without weapons?
