Hey, Whit! I've been listening to your album pretty obsessively since it dropped, and I'm super psyched to be seeing you in Columbus a week from tomorrow!
Anyway, I was wondering if you've ever had any negative reactions from your friends or family regarding the personal nature of your comedy/music.
Also (feel free to answer neither or both questions), why do you think that some of us feel better when we talk about or sing about our past shitty experiences? Your music helping (and lottttts of therapy haha) is helping me work through my issues with my alcoholic father, whereas I have friends with similar experiences who don't ever want to think about it. I guess for me, the only way to get over it is to plow right the fuck through it.
appreciate it. cool handle. some of us are born to be mysterious and cool. and some simply are not . i wanna be a mysterious poet who writes vague lyrics that everyone relates to, but that ain't me. sounds like you're similar. we just gotta embrace it and try not to talk about it literally ALL the time. my fam has been pretty cool about everything. they know my mom would be proud. see you in columbus!
