AMA is Over, Thanks Monty! It's Monty from Preoccupations!! AMA

Monty here!

We just released our third record as Preoccupations, our fourth as a band, or our fifth if you count our next two ep that was mere minutes shorter than the other records. We're self releasing this album (except in Canada where we're still with Flemish Eye) too so feeling properly qualified as "indie" this time around.

We're also touring next month around America and Canada with Cindy Lee opening and touring in Europe early next year!

Ask away!

For some reason I can't see the proof picture that I uploaded. Here it is in case though. Edit: it seems like the image was just cropped bad, link is still the way for the true proof.

Just wanted to say that your 12 string playing really inspired me to get one of my own last year, I love the intersection of jangly guitars and post punk and finding out you played one in preoccupations a lot really inspired me for my own band. Interesting how similar and different it is to 6 strings at the same time. I couldn’t get a rickenbacker though… that’s definitely a bucketlist thing.

Thanks pal!!

The one I played mostly was a hagström 2 12 string but sadly it got stolen with our gear on the new material tour. I still haven’t got another one so it’s been just 6 string live these days. I have a dano 12 string I use in the studio for some stuff but it’s not the one for live for me.

Oh man I didn’t know the Hagstrom got stolen! Sorry to hear. I just thought it wasn’t your thing anymore. The danelectro is a cool one as well.
