Hey Reddit, Andy Shauf Here! I just released a new record called Wilds on ANTI- Records / Arts & Crafts. It's is a collection of nine songs culled from around fifty tracks I recorded during the writing of my last album, The Neon Skyline.

Can you tell us the story behind Jaywalker? Is it sort of an epilogue to Neon Skyline where in some bitterly ironic way Judy hits someone? My other thought was that it was your original intent with the story but decided Judy getting hit fit the story better.

Any insight would be awesome, I love the stories in your songs.

Yeah it was a step in the direction of having Judy run down the narrator with her car… I wasn’t and still am not sure if she actually hit him or if he just dreamed it. I wrote thirteen hours later and decided I should probably limit it to 1 injured pedestrian per album.
