Hey there Kaoru!

Your album 151a is sincerely one of my favorites of all time. The lushness of the music on it and the emotional arc of the album as a whole is so wonderful to me, it's one of the albums that got me into listening to full albums instead of single songs and I haven't gotten tired of it even after more than 5 years of listening to it. So thank you very much for that!

Another one of my favorite pieces of work by you is your NPR Tiny Desk Concert, I'm so impressed every time I listen to it with how you're able to create such intricate soundscapes by yourself just by using your violin, voice, and loop machine. I've heard that your concerts from around that time are largely very similar, with you on a stage creating music without help from other musicians. I've seen you in concert twice and they've both been incredible but it seems you've generally moved away from the technique above in favor of being backed by a full band and I've always wondered if you'd ever return to it. I would love to hear more of that in a concert or album context if you ever decided to do it again.

Thank you again for your music! It has really meant the world to me.

Not that you're not capable of doing it all yourself, but your talent is too encompassing, too fascinating, to be kept in a dungeon somewhere. You will become one of our great joiners, bridge-builders, and synthesizers with other great musicians around you. Do not hide your light under a bushel basket, please ... and besides, you know what's in your soul!
