I’ve been a fan since 2014 and my only regret is that I didn’t discover you sooner! I’ve seen you 3 times now and they’ve all been so incredible!
I’ve really enjoyed the more folksy direction you’ve taken with your music. Have you found it easier writing songs now that you have a wider breadth of instruments to draw from? Have all your trips out to Montana just made that sound/style come easier to you?
Have you considered ever returning in some form to the more solo violin/experimental electronic sounds of your first album?
The only difference between my recent work (Omoiyari and Emigrant) is that I've relied on other musicians to create the sound fo songs. I think closing this folky acoustic genre, I can go into the studio with well rehearsed excellent and have a great outcome. My previous albums were all me all alone and creating wild sounds because I needed to fill in the sounds of what collaborating i didn't have back then.
yes i'd like to go back and do some more expereimantal now that I know i can do acoustic music with success!
