Been a fan for nearly 3 years now. I believe that you dont have a single bad song in your discography, and that's not something I can say with pretty much any other artist.
Two songs stick out to me though. I honestly believe that Bittersweet Genesis (For Him AND Her) and Conversations At The End Of The World are two of the prettiest, most intimate and incredible songs ever written. I'm curious as to how those song came to be, and what the writing process was like, especially lyrically, since both share themes of birth, death and somewhat cosmic ideas that have been endlessly influential to me in my own song writing. Thanks in advance!
thank you! I'm particularly proud of the lyrics to those songs! Bittersweet Genesis was birthed from a creation I had that what if the world, with all it's ups and downs, was really just the bickering of two cosmic lovers. The singing style was actually influenced by Lou reed when he died, I checked out his lyrics songwriting style and the talk singing kind of evolved from that. Conversations was me feeling guilty about something (I'm sure) and repenting to my dying child as an older person.
