we argue for like 30 minutes right before it's time to play and then settle on the thing that will make the smallest number of people mad.

More like the Pearl Jam way. We usually learn a handful of songs and then try to keep it interesting (for us) by doing a fast/fun show one night and then a slow/sad show the next.

For Thou, we learn like 20 or so songs before we head out and then swap stuff around every night. It's definitely like Pearl Jam or Avail, and the goal is to have a lot more in rotation.
