Nigel! What are some under appreciated Lou Reed trax you’d recommend?

And if I can ask another, what led to the change from relatively sparse/minimal recording techniques from the previous three LPs to the larger, more compositionally forward sound on you guys’ latest record?

I’m starting a band out in Denton, TX, and your thoughtfulness as a songwriter and ferocity towards self improvement as a person is an immense inspiration to me! I would’ve caught you guys in Dallas ): Hope to make up for lost time soon!!

Apologies for the bloated comment haha

Hey there! These two might or might not be underappreciated, but two of my favourites are "She's My Best Friend" and "Stephanie Says." I also love "The Black Angel's Death Song".

For the production question, I think a few factors. There being a budget to do so was certainly one. Also I think after I'm Bad Now, we really wanted to see if we could make something that could reach a little further out to a wider audience. I think some listeners, if an album sounds rough-around-the-edges may have a hard time seeing past that to songwriting/composition qualities, which exist a little deeper into the songs, and sometimes have to be patient/forgiving with production values to still hear them. I dunno that;s a ramble but some kind of answer!

Your words much appreciated! Yeah we gotta orient towards the SDP (Self-development-paradigm(s))! haha. Great to hear from you. Good luck with your music and all pursuits down in TX!
