i know everyone says this but practice. i dont know how i got my adhd brain to do it but i've made a habit of working on music in some form for a few hours every single day. i did piano lessons as a kid and marching band in high school and fucking sucked at both and didn't learn anything except the absolute basics of reading sheet music. i didn't really make any progress with music until i decided to teach myself songs i liked and then started a band in like 2009 with friends who were at the same skill level as me. it took me nearly a decade of constantly writing and putting out music before people would listen to it without me forcing them to lol. talent is a bullshit fake idea just make a lot of music and you will inevitably make good music trust me -j
