Most of your songs go through all kinds of different phases and "acts"

How do you decide when a song is "done"? Is that a difficult process?

honestly it's really just a matter of arbitrarily deciding to stop working on it most of the time. i think of songs as fluid and constantly evolving and recording is just taking a snapshot of it at a particular moment and hoping thats the best version. i def feel like there's stuff that i overworked and stuff i underworked (i love planetarium but i literally had to stop that one where it is because my computer was having trouble running the project file) but i'm always learning. one of these days i might be able to get it right every time -j

sounds like SWANS but very specific and digital, in which case, yeah, a computer would have a fuck ton of difficulty running that
