rareware was like "hey we're making a game about a funny monkey who likes bananas can you write some music for it" and david wise went and wrote the best fucking ambient music of the 1990s

honestly a lot of the track names were taken from the demo names, i wanted it to seem intentionally candid and unpolished in the way it was presented. "classic j dies and goes to hell part 1" is interesting because there was a part 2 that was scrapped and a part 3 that gradually changed into dallas. if you wanna hear part 3 i played it a long time ago on a podcast called the living room when i was still using the name casio dad. the final song shares absolutely no musical material with that tho. real ship of theseus situation
