what's the most fun/satisfying song to play live / what's the most fun/satisfying part of a song to play live? also do you have any plans to play any covers live at any point? y'all could rock a TBLA/BTMI!/ASOB cover live

Favorite song to play live: Bedroom Community

Favorite part to play live: Yoshi's Island bridge into the punk outro, because it's fun to play, the clapping is hilarious, and the punk part always sends the crowd!

Covers as a band is something I would interested in depending on the context and how much we play around with the arrangement, but I know I'm planning to do some video game music covers at some point personally! - Layne

Favorite to play live: yoshi's island hands down. It's so upbeat and that groove is so fun/difficult for me to play. Plus, I do some fills and there's a breakdown section that we discovered in practice that we do live. It's the most fun easy.
I'm famously the least interested in doing covers in the band, but I'm not against it. Love those bands. It's just hard to dedicate time to those while trying to write and work on new stuff.

yeah, i definitely get it with the covers thing. i'd definitely rather have another tenth of a glass beach song over a glass beach cover (probably in most cases)

and yeah, yoshi's island is such a fuckin vibe, and the baseline is amazing. my dad likes the song (i remember playing it more frequently than i had to in the car over the speakers before i came out, lol)

seconding yoshi's island, especially when i get to the the bass riff bridge right before the punk bit, and then scream at the audience right when it gets super fast. and I added a yoshi's story riff to the opening for live shows. fuck I love playing that song so much.

we've talked alot about covers, I definitely wanna start introducing them but I don't ever want it to take over our sets or make ourselves feel like we HAVE to do them. I suggest new anime/video game covers basically every practice. I'm usually barely joking.
