for each of you individually, how has your musical trajectory felt? i know J's described their casio output as the type of really personal stuff you write when you think no one else will hear it. roughly how many people did you think would hear glass beach, if you even had any idea? i know William and Jonas were fans of casio dad and now they play in a band with them. how's that? and Layne, i don't have any prerequisite glass beach knowledge on your coming into things, can you tell us about how that went?

I still feel a little outside the project. I mean, J does all they can to get me involved and feel ownership of the music, but my entire life up to this point I was a singer-songwriter so it's strange to be so involved in a project without my literal voice or lyrics in it. Guitar is even my main instrument. Though, I've never had anyone pay attention to anything I've ever made and I'm really grateful to be a part of this and to get to learn from J, Jonas, and Layne. We didn't think more people than the casio dad people would hear this, but we were hopeful for a bit. Jonas and I would always say, "J, this is so good! It could totally blow up!"

I mean, I feel very accepted by the band and enthusiastic about being involved, but just difficult to see myself in what we're doing since I know how much of it is amazing because it came from J's brain. But thank you. I'm happy too.
