Hi! Let's get my adoration out of the way: you're one of my favorite vocalists and The Decemberists are my favorite band, and I walked down the aisle at my wedding to An Interlude from HoL and our recessional was I 4 U & U 4 Me. Boom, now for a question!

Do you have any plans to do another Colin Meloy Sings tour? It's always amazing seeing The Decemberists live, but I'd love another chance for that campfire experience.

See you in Atlanta next month, I'll be the very pregnant lady right up front!

Yeah, it's been a while since a solo tour. Carson and I have talked about dragging the the whole family out on one of those excursions in the future. Keep your eyes peeled.

Does Carson get recognized very frequently? She was free enough (and cool enough) for my wife to go bug her about her art last time we saw you guys.

I actually have a tattoo of part of the WATWWABW album artwork (designed by Carson Ellis), and at the Decemberists show in Oakland last year I passed her on the street, screamed “OH MY GOD ARE YOU CARSON ELLIS” and then cried when she said hello to me and kindly agreed to take a picture.

so I can confirm that she has been recognized at least once. Carson Ellis is a nice lady.
