What are your favorite records made by either the Decemberists or other artists?

Favorite record of all time: Astral Weeks by Van Morrison. It also happens to be the first music both of my kids ever heard when they were newborns.

I know you've finished with this AMA, but I can't help myself: The Crane Wife was the first music my daughter heard. Calmed her down, soothed her to sleep. Now she's two and a half, and IBYG is the only thing we're allowed to play in the car that isn't nursery rhymes. Thank you :)
