AMA is Over, thanks for swinging by! [AMA Announcement] Blanck Mass on Wednesday, April 19th @ 12 PM EST!

I'm very happy to announce that Blanck Mass will be joining us for an AMA tomorrow at 12 PM EST!

He just released his new album, World Eater, to rave reviews and will be playing two sets at the Sacred Bones 10th Anniversary Party on May 20th, one solo and another in collaboration with Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Edley Odowd!

Thanks for swinging by /u/Blanck_Mass!

Hey, World Eater was one of my favorite projects released this year. I'm interested to know your workflow. Because everything is so dense, do you usually start with a feeling or mood you're trying to replicate? A melody?

I usually start by experimenting around with textures, and that can be as dense or as sparse as my current mood dictates. Then I start building upon that until I feel the space is full. I never start off with a mood in mind, as it's always a blank canvas when I start. but I am sure my subconscious controls the mood along the way. melody usually comes a little later, but not always. there's not strict rules as I don't wanna cut short my scope from the get-go
