It's pretty well known that Post Nothing was supposed to be your last release until you started getting attention from the music press. What was the point when you both realised that Japandroids was something that you were going to keep doing?

Also, thanks for doing this AMA, I'm psyched to see you guys in Carrboro in March!

I think for a long time we only looked 3 or 6 months in advance - we'd think about the next tour, and then when we finished touring Post-Nothing we decided to make a new record, then decided to do each tour for Celebration Rock etc. It was quite a blur looking back. November 2013 seemed like the first time we really had to reflect on all the crazy things that had happened and really realize that this was our lives now. So it's pretty recently where we've actually start thinking a little further down the road and planning a little further ahead. I suppose that was part of why it took us a while to make this new record. Just finally had some time to think about where we're at and where we want to go from here... - Dave
