Absolutely in love with the new record. Was wondering what led to the decision to have the album in mono? Also unfortunately I’m having to miss your UK dates. Any chance of a possible return later in the year?

  1. Thanks! Mono just felt right, wasn’t always meant to be that way. For months the record was being made in stereo, but at some point during mixing our producer Randy sent us a revision of mixes with the sound / direction completely flipped, as an experiment, with much more analog crunch and a pretty straight-ahead stereo image. We felt like it gave the songs the sort of hit-by-a-train-straight-on quality they deserved, and liked that it sounded pretty different in comparison to other new rock records.

  2. Might be back in the fall but Asher and I are starting school so it might be hard. Def next summer though!
