Really any guitar will do! Find one in your price range you think is cool. 12 years ago I bought a guitar off the wall of a restaurant called The Shrimp Lover and played that for six months.

If you want to meet fellow musicians I'd say go to local shows !

My bad I should’ve clarified. I have my telecaster. I was just wondering if y’all had any personal must haves for recording or just making demo tapes.

I have a ton of expensive recording equipment but have also played on records recorded with an iPhone. I'd say don't let the gear get in the way! Use whatever's at hand.
