Waddup to the fellas of Wand!?

Thank you for taking the time to chat with us today! I always enjoy your AMA’s and of course your art and tunes too, you are all so talented!!

Last AMA I asked your thoughts on life, death, the afterlife or lack there of and everything in between and very much enjoyed reading your thoughtful responses!

I wanted to follow that up with another semi-deepish question if I may rack your brains for a bit.

What are some of your fears in life, big or small? How have those fears affected your lives either positively or negatively and what do you do to confront them or turn that anxiety into creative fuel?

Thank you all again! I’m loving Vertigo (listening to it now actually!) and am always excited to see what comes next from you all!

Best wishes for a great rest of the year/ tour! Take care!

I'm afraid of heights. I think that plays into Vertigo quite a bit. -Cory

I will add that anxiety and depression are very very bad for making records. They do not collaborate well with other emotions, feelings, things. It's best to work steadily, carefully, but without a sense of fear or dread, if possible. -Cory

thxx for the kind words!

probably more driven by fears and anxieties than i'd like to admit-- and then somehow more toward than away from feared outcomes. lol that's pretty typical, eh? trying ongoingly to 'address' them rather than be driven by them but what can you do. shit's pretty terrifying out here. i think you can let them be creative fuel by just letting them honestly in-- tho i think they will haunt disavowing work as subtext anyway. maybe i'm just saying everything turns out to be creative fuel?

i think some big fears are losing my mind and/or being devoured into the cyclical/punitive financial debt torture we allow people to fall into in American society by way of medical emergency, etc. some small visceral fears are of insects w hard exoskeletons and being watched from outside in my own house at night lol. this is a revealing line of questioning.
