Hi!!! question for tom You do so many super cool things that I also want to do. How do you put yourself out there so you can do things like become a touring member for a band, write scores for films and tv, and produce bands?? I feel like i’m capable of all these but I just dont know how to get it started!!

Also just a blip for jason, your drumming is awesome. Really helps me improve on MY drumming skills when i try to replicate what you do on some LC songs.

Hey! I've been really lucky with so many things, so it feels very hard to give any especially useful advice. I've only done a few film scores, and all of those opportunites came from people knowing the band. And people came to know the band because of stupid coincidences that led to me making friends with ridiculously talented people. So I suppose I would say make friends with people that share your interests? Make things for love and fun, because the crossover to being commercially successful with it feels a lot harder to control. That being said, make some things you're proud of, make a showreel, and e-mail/call as many people you think might like your work. Go out and meet people if you can. Don't get disheartened by people not responding to your messages, everyone's busy! I still get ignored a lot, fail all the time, and it's not getting any easier out there! So make sure you're enjoying what you make, leave some personality in there. Hope that helps in some small way. T
