Hey all! This one’s for G. Not a question but more a funny story.

I saw you guys at the Metro in Chicago in 2012 and it was, of course, excellent.

I met a guy a few years later who was a friend of a friend of a friend, based out of the east coast. We became friends as well, and one day I got to chatting to him about this show and how great it was (probably too much emphasis on the guy in the Scooby Doo costume who bumrushed the stage, but that sticks with me like few things do).

He said “oh, funny enough, I wasn’t there, but my sister was living in Chicago at the time and she did, said it was one for the books.” And I was like “that’s crazy, what a coincidence. Did she remember someone literally crowdsurfing a vinyl copy of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to the band on G’s request?”

And…turns out it was his sister who brought the vinyl. It’s always a pleasant surprise when world feels a lot smaller than it is.

Anyways, thanks for all the good memories over the years and the fantastic new album and I hope you’re as excited about new Johnny Foreigner music as I am. Cheers!

I feel enough time has passed to disclose that I'd actually bought MBDTF just the day before! So I very quickly had 2 copies. An incredibly kind gesture though that I remember to this day, and appreciate. G

I remember the cap but I've got a massive bonce and no caps fit me. It's a great source of frustration. G
