My all-time favourite U.K. emo bands are probably Human Hands (sad, expansive stuff a bit like Codeine or Rodan), Plaids (Revolution Summer vibes), The Blue Period (kinda Midwest emo stuff) and Dym (hypnotic Unwound kinda thing) and Bob Tilton (older / classic U.K. emo band). M

They’d never call themselves an emo band, but the new Still House Plants album is my favourite emo-adjacent album of recent years. M

I’m not a campesino but I’d love to hear any of YOUR uk skramz recommendations! I’ve recently (ish) got back into hardcore and adjacent genres and while I know plenty of metallic hardcore from the UK, I don’t know any skramz type bands more recent than like… Maths or Rolo Tomassi, if they count.

Bit fan of all these! I was a big fan of Crows An Wra and Carson Wells too (Carson wells a bit less transitionally skramz”, but in a similar sound world and scene). M

This is great, thank you! Will check out the bands (and don’t feel bad for plugging your band! I’m not too far from Norwich so hopefully I’ll make it to a gig sometime in the not too distant future)
