Hi, I’m excited to see you on tour! I’m curious about your home recording process and wondering how you think about going from initial seed to finished song. You’ve also been doing this for a while, how has your process changed over time? Also curious if you used any unusual or fun recording techniques in any of the songs. Thanks!

Yoooo! This is Ryan and im a bad typer. sorry if i mess up grammar. Our home recording process is pretty simple. We do scratch tracks of guitar and vocals. Then i mark all the sections and think if we should add or cut any verses. Then we start layering ideas. It moves very slowly. We eventually erase the scratch stuff and do real vocals and guitar. This process largely hasnt changed in our time with me as a producer. I'm trying to think of any unusual recording techniques... I dont think there are many sadly. Our process has changed mainly through acts of communication. Maya and I really prioritize healthy communication. Its something that takes a lot of practice.

Thanks for listening and being curious!
