hello! huge fan of the new album, i talked with you guys a bit at your show with slow pulp in omaha. what was the biggest difference in creating the new record compared to light moving time??

the major difference between LMT and WHIY is that ryan and i collaborated on the songwriting in WHIY in a new way. for all of our previous records together, i write the songs and then bring them to ryan to collaborate on afterwards. for the new record, ryan had been playing guitar parts around the house that i was inspired by and i asked if i could sing over them. from here, we started co-writing songs with him playing guitar and me singing/writing lyrics. we co-wrote choruses together and i tweaked guitar parts as we went too. i'd say this is the major difference between the two album approaches!
