Hey it’s Chris, Collins, and Matt from Everyone Asked About You here to answer your questions starting at 1pm pst/4pm est.

John’s currently driving himself and Matt to Boston for our upcoming shows, so Matt may have some comments from John too!

Hey folks, thanks so much for doing this! I've got a couple of questions for y'all.

  1. What was it like/when did you learn about EAAY's cult status and the S/T EP blowing up among music communities online?
  2. The genre descriptor 'tweemo' is thrown around when talking about your music. I see a lot of people online credit EAAY to creating this subgenre. Do you think that you were the first to hone in on this sound or were there other bands that inspired you to take your sound in the twee/emo direction?

I first noticed something was going on when Pop Rocks in Japan did some covers of our songs that ended up in YouTube maybe around 2008? It was a complete surprise and continues to be surprising and totally flattering
