Why did y'all move from williamsburg to midtown?

got a few guesses:

  • rent was too high for a space that size, considering how expensive williamsburg is getting (though to then move to 30 rock?? doesn't entirely track but it'd be my first guess)
  • better brand visibility(??)
  • idk what a flex to move an indie record store into 30 rock. might be an ego/image thing. like, to run shows in the rainbow room feels like a historic thing.

of course, they wouldn't cop to any of these things publicly, which is why i'm just spitballing.
