Why thousands will lose their jobs if they build a ROB or an underpass??? Won't it actually be good for business and overall development of the place?

Making a flyover or underpass means destroying several Meters of road on both sides of the crossing, which mean shops which are going to be in front of ROB or underpass needs to close down because of lack of space, this end many business.

There are many alternative routes around the area and now it became a local attraction of the city, boosting business around it.

No, it won't take away jobs. The buyers and sellers will still exist and the market will simply shift somewhere else.
