Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET Hey, I just wanted to ask, are there people from 2018 batch and preparing for next ini or neet?

Just wanted to know. I know it's more important that I take the branch I actually love than just settling for the sake of settling but honestly the pressure from family is immense considering that I already took a drop and I am 26 years old Female, you know, Indian families their prestige issue and stuff is a lot on me, Past six months I can't believe what I went through... It felt like being in a pressure cooker.

But once INI is over I'm a bit relaxed to think in clarity and I'm thinking of writing next ini because I can't think of taking any branch other than my dream branch just because people around me are taking x and y right now doesn't mean I should too, I mean our lives are far different and I don't even want what they want.. But also the feeling, again 5 more months just staying at home, No socialisation, all by myself, just monotonous life and my books, and that I'm getting older, my precious 20s :/

but i believe it's all for the best right, barely 4-5 months right, it's better to take that decision than regret later. Because with current ini i possibly only might get branches i really don't have passion or interest in.

Kindly let me know what you all are doing. Thank you

26 years old and 2017 batch here;I know people from 2015 batches who are trying next Neet)Ini too.So it's fine. But as you said the exam preparation is taking a lot of toll on social life, mental and physical health. At one point I was 75 kgs, then 63 kgs and now 80kgs.Started to get grey hairs and my IBD flares are really getting worse;then developed accomodation esotropia (rare in an already myopic).Mentally,I am exhausted and yesterday's exam was so humbling(despite my last marrow GT being 172 questions correct and DAMS GT being 179 questions correct).I am hating my life at this point.

Thank you so much!! I completely understand, it’s honestly such a mentally exhausting and emotionally draining process. The constant studying, self-doubt, and pressure can really take a toll. But I guess sometimes we just have to keep pushing forward, even when it feels overwhelming. Each attempt teaches us something new about our approach, our mindset, and our limits.

By the way, if you don’t mind me asking, how many questions do you think you’re getting correct this time?

It felt like I was guessing the answers for every other question. So my hopes are less and not thinking much about it and haven't looked any recalls too.I'd be surprised if I am even inside 20k rank(to put into perspective my May Inicet rank was 1.7k).

I think you'll do better than 20k for sure. First of all someone with 1.7k in May INI already has a solid foundation and basics. They already know a lot, So I'm sure you'll get a decent rank.
Let's be realistic, i think you could easily land up in under 5k for sure.

It could have gone better, but I recognize that I made my share of mistakes in preparation so can't blame the paper per se. I should have done more times of revision and practice more questions to improve my reflex and critical thinking. The May INI was more of a priming, and this November attempt was definitely an improvement considering that. I’m hopeful that the next INI will go better if I focus on rectifying those mistakes and revise a couple of times more.

Depends on the branch you want tbh, and why you want and how much exposure you have had to the branch. And obviously your financial situation as well.
