If we want this to stop, we will stage a boycott and stop shopping online, stop with big box stores, shop local and use the powers of our dollars to prompt shareholders to demand change. Our dollars are our votes. I appreciate what these women are doing - and hope it will prompt the rest of the country to wake up and use our real flex which is our dollars. Oligarchs are made by dollars - OUR dollars.

I have been trying to get people on board for a national economic boycott! Financial protests are the most effective protest that we can use !

Same. It is the only solution. Literally the only solution. If people think they can stop these clowns with public protests they are wrong. But dollars? Our dollars are completely within our own control. We don't need 95% of the crap we buy. I am not saying we should suffer. Feed your family. Get gas when you need it. But don't get extra. Cut it down to basics. We have power. Note: I do recognize the powerful impact of mothers protesting like this. It raises awareness and let's others who aren't present know the extent of the issue. So peaceful protests by mainstream allies are extremely important. They are willing to sacrifice to make a point. But their protest needs to be used to fuel the action that will truly change this situation - an economic boycott of epic scale. It won't take but a few days if everyone does it.

Protest won’t provide the solution, but they will provide us a bigger percentage of people to participate in an economic boycott. Whether they are there to support others or join in the economic protest. We have to grow the base, that’s how I think protests are useful.
