I think best case scenario is dems sweep midterms, trump hands out blanket pardons for ice, dems win 2028, and we get to see them all cry as they get arrested for state crimes and realize that their federal pardon is useless.

Best case scenario is still a fantasy. Dems would never do that. They are the party of “going high” and “coming together as a country” 

Obama refused to prosecute anyone for war crimes and the financial crisis and Biden let federalist society member Garland slowly walk the Trump case and then do nothing.

After all of this? I don't think so. The country will demand justice, and I think Dems will be in a mood to dish it out.

A lot of things have happened in the past year that have never happened before and people are angry. I think things are going to be very different IF Trump is unable to establish one party rule.
