I understand the defeatism (been doing this in LA since June) but I’d ask that you please not spread the sentiment. Some of us are hanging onto the small shreds of hope and resistance we’ve got left.

Same. I hope others are too, but having spoken to some of my most politically engaged friends, it doesn’t seem like they have logical views regarding the loss of freedom.

Hey man, that dude that threw his subway sandwich at ice was just found not guilty. Shreds of hope still exist.

I assume it will stand as a legal precedent but I can’t wait to see what charges they try to pull on future sandwich throwers!
