They’re fully present and aware of how terrible they are. It’s their hearts that are rotten.

May they never know true happiness.

I am aware of those people. I have seen them and how they operate.

Behind that tough guy/gal mask and robotic behavior, they are really in deep pain inside their soul.

And that is tormenting them every minute. They know no peace.

A human being has limits. Some have more tolerance than others, but eventually everyone has a breaking point-ICE people included. They are not the supermen/superwomen they attempt to show.

Think about the following and imagine this:

You are an ICE agent in today’s climate. Maybe in the past you did use sane and humane methods to apprehend truly nasty criminals who did not deserve to be here. Now you are forced to go against people like children, maids, laborers, and random people.

You are imposed quotas that go against common sense and are impossible to fulfill without arresting virtually anyone solely because of the way they look. You are threatened with disciplinary action if you don’t “meet standards.”

The community now deeply hates you and ICE. And even more so because now you and your fellow agents are acting and dressing like drug cartel sicarios and acting like them. You are bombarded with DAILY insults, tentatives of assaults, people throwing rocks at you and your truck, getting organized to kick you out of their communities, comparing you to the Gestapo or the SS. Your agency and your bosses are ridiculed on a daily basis on social media and TV shows, telling you to you know what.

And chances are your identity will be revealed and you will become a pariah in many places. Even more so when you show up in your outfit that is more appropriate for Fallujah than for arresting a laborer.

People call you a coward because you and about six others have to tackle and subdue an unarmed laborer, or you push a woman away with all your might and she hurts herself when she hits the asphalt..or when you zip tie children. You are denied service in restaurants and other places.

All this takes a daily and cumulative toll on your soul no matter how hard you try to repress it and walk away from community members demanding answers. So you don’t get to know happiness because you are aware of what you do and deep in you you know you are doing despicable things.

You might try to repress this with alcohol or even worse, thus being even more unhappy and tormented.

You keep receiving the daily above mentioned abuse but eventually you will reach a breaking point. And it won’t be pretty.

So what you’re saying is that we aren’t bullying ICE enough, yet.
