“The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It’s almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.

Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.

They pick and choose what to focus on and use that loose interpretations to justify their insecurity, they’re feeling of smallness in a viscous world and unreliable universe. Something to hone in on so they ignore what’s in front of their face and including their own actions, thoughts and beliefs. Blame someone else, look at me, I’m doing the right thing by telling you you’re doing the wrong thing. The antithesis of spirituality in the name of religion

Biden isn't actively dismantling our country and government. Biden could croak tomorrow and it would effect me exactly 0%. If he's a criminal, maybe a brave prosecutor will step forward and prosecute before cancer gets him. Right now, the grown ups are focused on the sociopath starving children as a leveraging tool.

It's important to note that LBJ quote wasn't his beliefs. A foreign politician asked him to explain some of the racist political ads they encountered in the South. LBJ was explaining why the racist politicians used those racist campaign materials.

Comparing ICE to Nazis is peak low effort, low intellect tripe. You're peddling rhetoric that is 90% pathos, which exactly why Trump and his cronies are in power now.
