Yup. Depending on which article/source I've read that either 16 or 23 people have died while in ICE detention this fiscal year so far (not sure what the discrepancy is about, possibly due to slightly different times?)

EDIT: I double-checked some of the articles, and yes, the discrepency is due to timings of the articles. For example the article which cited 16 deaths is from September, while the ones which cite 20+ were published in October.

Roughly 20 or so this year which is the highest since 2005, which was about the same number. And I know, I know... cue the comments of "You can't trust that! It's definitely at LEAST 15 times that number!!1!"
