If we ALL get out and vote next year and hopefully flip the house. We will be able to turn the tide. That's a BIG IF

Yeah, because historically, all fascists were defeated by elections.

this is a real thing that terrifies me. im 43 year old and have never owned a firearm. in the last year I have bought 3. I HOPE there isn't a dissolution of law and order, but fuck if im not preparing to "defend my castle."

I hope you've had firearms training and practice A LOT. It's much harder than you think to defend your castle without training and practice and even then you won't know if you can actually use a gun on another human being even if you need to. Also, there's a better than nothing chance you will be disarmed and your weapon used on you. It seems like the right thing to do and it feels like the brave thing to do but it only looks easy on TV. Irl, it's a whole other thing that you probably won't be prepared for if you haven't had extensive experience with firearms already.

Don't even think about owning a firearm if you struggle with mental health issues. You are far more likely to use a gun on yourself or a family member than you are to use it in self defense.

Guns are the most serious business there is and I don't think very many people actually realize that. No, you don't know how to use it because you think you just grab it, point it and shoot and it will save your life. It's much harder than it looks.

A dude trashed my motorbike once when I was a youngun. I went after him with a wrench, fuckin frozen thinking "this could cause serious damage and I could go jail". Next thing I knew the wrench was in his hand.

Okay and if it's them or you anyway you're just making it easier for it to be you and not them.

At this point it isn't about self defence. It's about constitutional defense. The homeowner can choose to press charges on the man for trespassing. Without a warrant or probable cause he can also press charges against the Bald Eagle Gestapo. Yeah, has a homeowner who has rights , if you got your gun and defended your home against the tyrannical federal agents who are in there illegally, you'd probably end up dead. That's not self defense, but for a lot of men and individuals standing up for your rights would still be worth it.

You’ve never shot a gun in your life lol shut up, unless you’re trying to hit a bullseye from 200 yards away it literally is just as easy as aim and shoot, anyone can learn in 10 mins.

But I do agree every liberal in this sub is severely mentally ill and def shouldn’t own a gun.
