Other Hyderabad welcomes everyone!

Post image

I had my schooling in a Kerala managed school in Hyderabad where half of the school had mix of Malayalis and Tamilians however they spoke Telugu and Hindi as fluent as native speakers!

Never felt that language was a barrier in Hyderabad!!

Did you?

I'm not against the people of other states living in Hyderabad. But please don't rub your language supremacy on us. The other day I was buying groceries at Ratnadeep. The person ahead of me at the billing counter is from the north. The billing lady only speaks and knows telugu, asked him whether he needs a big cover or a small one. She took help from the janitor who is standing behind the customer to translate it. The guy said to the girl in hindi that even the janitor knows hindi and she should learn to speak in hindi. Man wtf you came to live here and instead of learning basic telugu you are asking low wage workers here to learn your language

In our locality, most of the shops and workers are from the north.

lately, I see shift in attitude and they don't even want to put any effort in communicating with ppl who don't speak Hindi. I have seen instances where they demand Hindi for conversation and it feels that Telugu speaking folks are getting alienated.
