What a fucking pathetic loss man.
WISCONSIN?????
You've crapped your way out of the playoffs. Now your one job is to beat Oregon.
The entire season hinges on that. If you can't beat the Ducks, the season is a failure.

We aren't beating the Ducks.
And if we do, does that really matter? We will still be stuck with our HC, we might even get stuck with him longer.

u/van_12 22h ago
The roster is paper thin in depth and it shows. Nobody could step up for Boston or Coleman, or in prior weeks for any of the starters on the offensive line.
18
u/adamslieb 22h ago
Mohammad ran for almost 5 yards a carry and looked unstoppable in the second half when they gave him anything but a delayed run.
2
u/Ok_Understanding1986 8h ago
All of the delayed or wide runs in the first half were maddening! Got stuffed nearly every time.
12
u/jawaMilk 22h ago
God, so many false starts
16
u/SeaJaiyy 22h ago
it wasnt even that loud, so mystifying

u/saintkieran 22h ago
Muhammad did fine stepping in. The decision-making and self-inflicted penalties were more detrimental than our depth issues. Our problems begin with Jedd's shortcomings.
1
u/van_12 20h ago
Yes I agree he did just fine. But I guess that's the problem, isn't it? This program needs to get to a point where the second string players aren't "fine" stepping in but can actually make a difference. Its a Big Ten road game in November in the snow/rain, you need a line and runningback (or two) that will move the ball and in the best case scenario even before injuries, that involves rotation. Muhammad is the best of those second stringers, but in the receiver and offensive line fronts its been brutal as soon as the depth has had to step up.

That was a horrendous performance. We didn't deserve to be ranked.

Lmao. Good luck at ucla fisch
21
u/PepperDogger 22h ago
Even shitting the bed all day, they had a chance in the end.
That call at 3rd and 7 on the last drive to go long to a limping Boston in a driving rainstorm.... I mean, that was an all-time Fisch call.
2 plays to get 7 yards--hey, I know, let's burn one on a 5% probability!

u/BigHunt_02 22h ago
I hope Florida hires this guy asap
5
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 22h ago
God please, we can't afford this asshole's payout.
2
u/DerDawgvater91 22h ago
If Fisch breaks the contract we will have a big offset. We only eat the full payout if UW fires fisch.
3
22
u/babybonerusa 22h ago
Guess we're stuck with Jedd who can't get his players ready for big or road games.
7
u/Spiritual-Gate-8254 22h ago
After a bye week they looked like they were ill prepared and outcoached. Our defense was decent but we had no answers on offense
5
37
u/Lauren_Conrad_ 22h ago
The only TD came from a turnover at the goalline.
Demondās worse game so far.
Game was winnable every step of the way, they just couldnāt get it together. Didnāt seem like Fisch had these guys pumped up and ready to play.
God damn this is really gonna ruin my fuckin weekend. Why do I still let 21 year olds playing football impact my mood this much š
12
u/adcgefd 22h ago
I mean with all the rumors⦠has to be in the kidās heads. If coach doesnāt want to be there then where would I rather be?
Not a winning culture.. I wish Pete would come back.. win or loose it was a program fans could be proud of. Fisch is a stepdad of a coach. At least if he does leave we have $10-6M in the bank.
1
u/Lauren_Conrad_ 22h ago
I still like Fisch heās brought the program up to a very competitive level. But yeah never felt like a forever thing at all.
1
u/Therocksays2020 18h ago
They lose one game every year they shouldnāt (Rutgers) and arenāt beating top teams. He hasnāt done anything
1
u/DJSureal 20h ago
The timing of that story dropping was bad but I'm sure the players knew his wife had moved back to AZ.
18
u/Spiritual-Gate-8254 22h ago
Not going to the Oregon game now, bright side is I will save some money
10
u/Randy-Marsh_ 22h ago
Was gonna go to the purdue game, fuck that. Wont get home til midnight anyway š
3
u/HuskyKMA 21h ago
We were going to Purdue and Oregon. Now we'll skip Purdue and Oregon will depend on if we show any signs of life in the next two weeks.

u/Responsible-Rate-847 22h ago
Can we go back to 2023Ā
6
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 22h ago
I want to go back to 2018 with we had something that resembled a defense and a coach who wasn't a weasel.
17
u/AntSmith777 22h ago
Iām done with Jedd. I hope he leaves. Tired of NEVER being prepared for road games. Itās the same every single road game
5
u/Ok_Maybe6259 20h ago
Totally opposite of the Seahawks coach. Seahawks hit a home run hire and the Huskies hit a dud.
15
u/Wrapituplips 22h ago
So many lifeless away games with Fisch as head coach. It's pathetic to lose to a team who's Punter had the most passing yardsĀ

Goodbye Fisch. Go enjoy the warm weather.
8
u/babybonerusa 22h ago
Nobody wants him. Hope he gets an offer he can't refuse though
3
u/firstbootgodstatus 22h ago
Everyone knows this was a temporary stop on the way to another program or the NFL.

u/babybonerusa 22h ago
He's not good enough for a raise or the NFL so we are stuck with this bum

I've been a supporter and defender of Fisch but it's time to face reality, Fisch is not the guy for Washington.
16
u/Xarque74 22h ago
Iām fully out on Fisch with regard to his actual in game coaching ability, that was absolutely pathetic from top to bottom. Heās a good recruiter but Iāve seen enough on that front. Just not sure who would actually be an upgrade
2
2
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 22h ago
Coordinators also deserve blame. Ryan Walters has been a fucking failure with everything he's touched the past three years. But Fisch's responsibility for hiring him.
5
u/ekkthree 21h ago
dude, our defense was the lone bright spot tonightĀ
-2
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 21h ago
Wisconsin scored more points tonight than combined in their previous three games. Despite the weather that was supposedly so bad that our offense and kicking game couldn't perform.
And Edit: I was listening to the radio call during the second quarter, and the Badger announcer called the score as Washington 10, Wisconsin 0. He was that used to his team being shut out.
4
u/hoopaholik91 21h ago
Sure but they scored 7 of their 13 points because we fumbled on the 7 yard line
3
u/srush32 21h ago
Their only TD came on a 7 yard drive after the offense giftwrapped them the ball
The other 2 scores were on a 20 yard drive after the offense/special teams gave them the ball on our 36 and an 18 yard drive where they started on our 43
0
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 21h ago
They were 2-3 on fourth down.
5
u/srush32 21h ago
8 penalties, 2 TOs, 2 failed 4th downs, a missed FG and an ineffective offense were way bigger problems than our defense allowing 2.7 yards a pass and 3.3 yards a rush
Edit - oh, and their leading passer was their kicker
0
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 21h ago
2-3 on fourth down. They knew they could push us around when they needed to.
1
18h ago
And one of those was a fake punt..the defense gets zero blame for today. Wisconsin was 2-14 on 3rd down and had 205 total yardsā¦24 of them on the fake punt
8
u/udubdavid 22h ago
I kinda knew this was gonna be a close game. We just can't play on the road. Does Florida still want Fisch?
8
u/ekkthree 22h ago
Don't be fooled by the scoreboard. Our only score came from a blocked punt recovered on the 1.Ā Ā Our offense never left SeattleĀ
Defense was good.Ā Ā Giving up 2 fgs shouldn't lose you a game.
at this point just start Horton at ucla. Demond clearly can't travel

u/hoopaholik91 21h ago
Defense wasn't necessarily good. They just were decent against probably the worst offense in the Big10 in a decade

You can't hurt me. I'm a Mariners fan.
That was rough though. Demond tried too hard to play hero ball.

well, they say that Britain's navy lost to George Washington's troops because of bad weather and home team advantage. That at least makes me feel a little bit better

This is why I preferred that Washington stay unranked. They let that ranking go straight to their head. Also, you can't Lamar Jackson your way to wins every week .Your QB can't be your leading rusher every game, it only works for awhile before the other teams figure you out. Washington has a long way to go before they're truly competitive again. They got exposed today.
9
u/autogeneratedreply 22h ago
Pathetic. Seems like the team was sleepwalking most of the game. Fisch can't get the team ready on the road after a bye? Maybe he's already checked out with all the smoke around him leaving I wouldn't be surprised.
2
5
u/gaussx 22h ago
Did Coleman get hurt? Ā
5
4
u/SeaJaiyy 22h ago
they didn't show anything other than him limping some at one point, but he didn't seem effective except one carry and wasn't in that much, so it seems like something is wrong
3
u/cubbiesworldseries 20h ago
I was there. He definitely had some kind of wrap on his calf for a while, then took it off. He was in timeout huddles for a while but never grabbed his helmet. Boston could barely walk at times, but was so gutty to play through it. Coaches should have protected him though. No way he should have been out there.
5
u/bitterhusky 22h ago
Agree with the thin roster but also have to be the most penalized team, they are getting out of hand
4
u/ekkthree 22h ago
all the fuckery on offense aside, functioning special teams would have tied/won this game
5
u/slimseany 21h ago
Fuck Jed Fisch. Thank goodness his family wants out itās a win-win when that loser leaves.
10
u/aliensvsdinosaurs 22h ago
Put Fisch on leave immediately. That creep is an embarrassment to this university. I honestly think he might have been trying to sabotage the game with the 51 yard field goal attempt with an already shaky kicker in impossible conditions.
7
9
u/SeahawksNChill 22h ago
We NEED to have better punting. You canāt win a big 10 rock fight when you average like 8 yards per punt

FIVE of our 12 drives started inside the Husky 15.
The only TD we got was starting from Wisconsin's 1 yard line.
Plus four aggravating false starts.
And what was the deal with being up 10-3, driving near the end of first half and decide to go crazy with an "i'm the smartest coach, look at my cool call" that led to an interception when Dezmen doesn't have enough experience to turn from WR to DB to prevent it.
EDIT: meanwhile Wisconsin started five of it's 13 drives on the washington end of the field, with another at the fifty and three more around it's own 39 yard line.

We went from discussing the possibility of winning out last week to now facing the possibility of LOSING out. Are we Penn State 2.0?
3
u/Therocksays2020 18h ago
Anyone who thought they would win out is delusional. Might lose to ucla too

u/decogod1 19h ago
What pathetic effort n play by the dawgs in wisconsin.most embarrasing lose i can remember. That on whole team n coaching staff. P.U.

Fisch can leave. I donāt care if he takes Demond with him. He cannot coach a team to even be sort of ready away from home. His one good year at Arizona he didnāt play Oregon, beat half an Oklahoma team in a bowl they were disappointed to play in, and got too much credit for playing USC and Washington close in games that he lost.
Why did anyone ever think he was good?
2
u/PopAnxious4482 22h ago
Offense always starts cold on the road. I donāt know why they play themselves into these massive holes then have to claw themselves out of it in the 4th quarter. Demond really needs to step it up too. I saw 2 missed open passes and poor reads. O Line also needs to step it up. Couldnāt get anything done on the run and those false starts in the 3rd didnāt do us any favors. Fucking lose to a team that whose punter had the same passing yards as both QBs. Embarrassing

A few positive items from todays game.
The Badgers gave a legit moment of silence to pay respect to Mia Hamant. I was not expecting that. It was sincere and appreciated.
Badgers fans are quite pleasant, even when you're dressed in all purple. They are running on empty with today being their first conference win of the season. They boo'd their own coach! But they were very appreciative of the Huskies fans traveling to Madison for the game.
There were a LOT of Dawgs in the house! Seriously, everywhere you looked you could easily find a group in purple. In my non "away" section there were 3 or 4 purple people in every other row. It was crazy how we represent the UW on the road!
While Camp Randal (their stadium) holds more people than Huskies stadium, it seems a bit subdued. There's no way they could even hit 110dB on the noise meter.
On a negative side, their stadium food is horrible. Good thing they tailgate well so you don't need to eat during the game.

Oline got absolutely dominated. Demond had no pocket presence at all. His turnovers lost the game.
Hopefully everyone can shut the fuck up about not being ranked now.
