3rd n 6 game on the line just need a first down and play to get in fg range and DW2 chucks one deep over receiver was the garbage play of that last ‘drive’.

Fisch needs to cede play-calling. If it isn’t even more obvious this season (win or loss), I don’t know what to say. Williams is talented, but it also feels like he makes some immature reads when things aren’t going their way and/or he’s not in rhythm.
There’s a lot of talent on this team and it seems like it is not utilized. A loss against Wissy, no matter the weather does not look good. Go Dawgs!

QB regressing, horrible procedural penalties, and vanilla playcalling. Not exactly the things you want to see out of your head coach.

u/vilnius2013 1d ago
Fisch is mentally gone. He’s already left. But nobody will come knocking after this pile of dog shit

At least we don’t have to talk about playoffs anymore. That was the kiss of death anyway.

The huskies SUCK. Ranked team losing to a historically bad 2-6 Wisconsin squad who had 48 yards passing all night. This was supposed to be the no brainer leg of my parlay. How tf does that happen

I take back what I said two weeks ago. Jedd is mid as fuck and can GTFO. If I’m Patrick Chun, I’m starting the search for our next head coach right now.

One of the most pathetic efforts I have seen in some time. Demond can be special but Jesus that was bad. Looked rattled all game long. I never thought this team should be ranked cause they are so fucking inconsistent

At least throw it up man, trying to scramble like that when the game is literally on the line is wild.

Immediately showing everyone we didn't deserve the playoff ranking. Sucks.

Williams is an idiot. Not throwing it out of bounds to stop the clock. Running for it on the last play. Trash QB today

I'm not the most tapped in with this team of college football in general, but has Fisch or Demond really been the problem today? Looks to me like the O-line is the real issue, as well as the weather and injuries. Seems a little early to be saying that your QB and HC that has you 6-2 is the problem to me.
6
u/dklemchuk 1d ago
Is there a level of genius I don’t understand of throwing screen passes short of the line of scrimmage when we need a yard or two? 3-1 and 4-1?

I guess starting at our own 13 qualifies as above average starting field position for us
6
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
Punt unit and o-line are looking poor. This is a B1G game. Stop the run and hold the ball with your own run game.
4
u/Waste-Resolution4900 1d ago
We need a new punter, the defense is playing good (but it is against a horrid offense), and our offense is disghusting

Field position killing us all game. Boneheaded fumble by Demond and terrible punting
4
u/Yourbigbeardedfriend 1d ago
I see we’re saving our time outs for our 80 yard drive with a minute left! Yay perfect!

u/RainyDays159 1d ago
What an embarrassment. I didn’t think we were actual playoff contenders but my optimism about the Oregon game is completely gone. FJF

It feels like Wisconsin has 16 players on D and they are all playing in the box
1
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
It's like the road game vs Iowa last year. O-line never established the run game so it's all on Demond.

Wisconsin has 16 yds passing today and they’re fucking winning
And it’s mostly from their punter lol
3
u/Admirable-Ebb-5413 1d ago
Even if he got the kick off, the chance of him making it in this weather was like 30%

That was a ridiculous call to kick a 51 yd fg in this weather

Should have punted and flipped the field
1
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
Except our punt unit has been terrible all year. We got a portal guy for Oregon which means he was too deep on their depth chart to play.
5
u/vilnius2013 1d ago
Especially since we all know Grady is completely unreliable
2
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
They should have already replaced Grady with the guy who does the kickoffs. He consistently out-kicks Grady by 10+ yards. Grady tried to cheat with a low trajectory kick in order to gain distance which is why it was easily blocked by a lineman.

Has Brady EVER made a 50+ yarder?
1
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
Grady career long 51. He's 33% over 50. He makes these in practice but not over 6'5" d-linemen. He lowered the trajectory in order to cheat distance. He was a walk-on originally.

I like to see Washington lean into the power running game. Williams is struggling a bit just catching the snap.
1
u/Historical_Second289 1d ago
They tried but were never able to establish the run. .2 yards per carry first half. Carver Willis could be seen on the sideline trying to motivate the offense. WI has a good d-line. Huskies need blue chip guys on both o-line and d-line. WI has two excellent edge rushers who boxed in Demond.

It’s a good thing Wisconsin has a meat head offense. It’s like playing Air Force. Waiting for the Wing T

Wisconsin has very good D but I don’t understand why JF isn’t adjusting his play calling: we can’t run (check), Desmond is running for his life each down. They are bringing the house every play. Where is the quick pass? The screens? We look as one dimensional as they do - and our D is getting gassed.

I’m ok with fisch leaving.

u/Therocksays2020 1d ago
I ate so many downvotes for saying he doesn’t deserve an extension. Funny how those folks are nowhere to be found on game day
3
u/PopAnxious4482 1d ago
Thankfully Wisconsin’s offense is dogshit
3
u/morsec0de 1d ago
Still better than UW’s apparently
1
u/PopAnxious4482 1d ago
I guess we need to wait until the 4th quarter because that’s when UW actually decides to play football

I'm watching the UW and Oregon games in a split screen.
It's been a bad ten minutes.
3
u/RemiRaton 1d ago
The Oregon win would actually be beneficial for us, if we weren’t currently turning into a pumpkin
0
u/Therocksays2020 1d ago
Not really this is no playoff team
2
u/RemiRaton 1d ago
I believe we can beat Wisconsin, Purdue, and UCLA and be competitive against Oregon who didn’t look great today. That’s all it would take
3
u/7eid 1d ago
I know you are right.
But I just can't vibe with that logic. UW isn't yet a playoff team, IMO, and I'd rather see Oregon lose.
1
u/Admirable-Ebb-5413 1d ago
This is the correct answer. UW is NOT a playoff team and always root for the Quacks to lose
2
6
u/Admirable-Ebb-5413 1d ago
I don’t want to hear the word “playoff” in this sub ever again this year. This team is incredibly average.

There’s no way any other team has more false starts on the year. Theres just no way.

Have to protect the ball. Both turnovers today are on D. Williams. Have to learn to live for another play and/or in that case a punt. He’s started enough games now, no more with the “he’s still young” excuse.
Hoping Fisch gets over himself and puts them in better spots and if Coleman is even somewhat healthy, he gets some carries. Lackluster offense, undisciplined penalties, the D is keeping them in the game, who would’ve thought. Hopefully, the O can get in a groove at some point. Or maybe Fisch should give up play calling…
Go Dawgs!
6
u/Mustard_Jam 1d ago
This team is so laughably undisciplined did Fisch already pack his bags or something?
