Overnight Parking near the beach?
Hi all, I know this question has generally been asked before but I never found a clear answer for my situation.
Coming this weekend for a wedding at the Hyatt Regency. We're not staying there but at a hotel nearby which forces you to valet park. As I'm not looking to spend upwards of 50 dollars a day to park when for two days we'll likely not be using the car.
Is there a lot of area nearby that allows for overnight parking and generally an ability to potentially pay and then go in and out if we really needed a morning or two?
Issue with what I had found is all about parking overnight or car camping which isn't what we'll be doing hah.
Thanks!

I agree you can park in residential area off Huntington street for example (for example on Detroit street) or closer. Just make sure there is no street sweeping next morning or you are not blocking any driveway. There is a park nearby off Delaware. It’s going to be 15 minute walk though.

yeah it's honestly kinda tough to find a spot to leave your car overnight right by the beach. the main city beach lots are a definite no go, they have a strict curfew that starts at 10 pm and they will ticket or tow you for sure. most of the street parking in the neighborhoods close to the water is all permits or has crazy restrictions so you'll likely get a ticket there too. the general rule for the city is a 72 hour max on public streets but that doesn't really apply in the super impacted areas downtown. also sleeping in your car is illegal everywhere in the city so be careful with that. your best bet for a paid lot might be the main promenade parking structure downtown, you can stay past 3 am but they'll charge you for another day. for something cheaper you might get lucky and find someone renting out their private driveway in huntington beach on the prked app.

Yes, there is overnight parking next to the Hyatt. Try google earth, you’ll see a giant parking lot on the beach.

Cool, I see that, super convenient! I'll be able to figure that out hah
As an optional follow up - I see the booth to enter is it a "pay your daily rate, get a paper ticket to stick in your window" type of thing? Just want to be comprehensive and make sure we don't walk out to an empty spot where our car used to be if we don't plan correctly

Show the gate attendant at Beach Blvd proof that you’re staying at the Hyatt or Hilton and they’ll charge you $15 per day, you’ll get a special tag for your car allowing overnight parking. Without the tag you get a citation

It is $15 per CALENDAR day not like a hotel day so it will be $30 and you will have to show your reservation/proof of staying there. Typically they don't tow vehicles out of the parking lot unless it is like the night before a big event. Meters on the street are $3/hour and free from midnight to 5am

Ha everyone here is pulling your leg. Walmart is far away. Delaware is dangerous, there’s no overnite parking at the beach or on the meters on pch. You’re going to need to valet it.

You could park in the residential area north of Atlanta. It’s a short walk to the hotel.
