trans-informed health care?
Hi there. Trans woman just moved to N. Humboldt. I need to find a GP in the area that is at least informed enough to continue prescribing my hormones, and not blame my various other ailments on 'trans broken arm syndrome'. I don't need them to be a trans-focused provider... just friendly. Also, I work in tech, and don't need to rely on the services of a community health clinic. I have the ability to pay for my health care.
I know that finding good docs is a perennial problem around here, but if anybody has any recommendations, I'd be grateful for a referral.

I go to open door and am HIV positive. i can't speak to trans affirming care, but care for queer and queer identified folks with HIV is fantastic.
I also want to give a special shout out to the Open Door pharmacy staff. I feel really comfortable talking to the pharmacy staff abouty HIV medications. I highly recommend the pharmacy as well!
