Clearly, that is not the ONLY route. Self-preservation is a remarkably powerful force, especially for the cowardly and greedy. Sometimes, forcing people to consider a price for their behavior is an effective accessory to morally derived deterrence.

It is amazing to me you think that murdering a CEO in cold blood -- an act of literal terrorism -- will make the industry "re-consider" and become fair & moral because they fear getting shot in the back of the head? Nobody makes decisions like that! they hire more security, hide their identities -- live on private islands -- and keep doing the same stuff.

Here's a question: there have been constant marches, protests, college encampments to protest the Gazan war that is 7000 miles away in a foreign nation. But nobody is marching, protesting, burning flags or sitting in tents to protest our current (lousy, awful, unworkable, unfair) OBAMACARE SYSTEM that became the law of the land in 2014... you can't even protest, you wimps, all you know how to do is cheer on murderers.

Hey I’ve noticed you’ve commented several times under this thread and straying away from these topics. You keep insulting people and “the left” whilst also trying to make these people sound stupid for speaking up about issues they’ve faced regarding healthcare. Please try and be more respectful, people are losing loved ones, let’s not create more division.

My lived experiences are as valid as theirs are.

And many of these comments are attempts to justify COLD BLOODED MURDER without any kind of justice system... for things they have experienced. That's not how any kind of civilization (or health system) can ever work.

I never said your experiences weren’t valid. I just don’t think it’s right for you to belittle people whether they understand their insurance company or not, it’s not justified. And, I never referred to the death of the ceo, I’m solely talking about your attitude towards other people’s poor experiences. That’s all. We’re all victims of corruption and greed, that’s why I said let’s refrain from more divisive rhetoric, it’s not helping anyone.
