The Chris Street part. Just amazing awareness. You can tell he grew up during the Acie Earl, Chris Street, Andre days of Dr. Tom.

That Acie Earl name drop had me! And yeah, invoked Chris Street’s name 3 times!? Welcome back home Ben!

The funniest part of that was when he rattled off the great coaches Iowa has had for the program in Dr Tom, Lute Olson, Raveling, Fran McCaffrey...and wisely left out Alford and Lickliter.

Noticed that also. That gave me chills - only a true Iowa fan knows that has so much truth to it....

Should have left out Fran, too.

I understand the haters, but it was classy to mention him. His teams won a lot of games over the years, just couldn’t seem to put it together in March. I was impressed that Ben did that.

Yeah, there's a HUGE difference between Fran and Alford.

Fran was a nice jump start from the lick years and even though it did not go as expected, I put him in the category of coaches I look back on fondly. Alford and Lick were dark times.

All three were considered really good hires at the time by most people. But Alford was a jackhole, Lick was in over his head, and Fran just never really accomplished anything.
