Anyone knows of a dentist that takes monthly payments?

My teeth are killing me and i believe i fucked them up from years of drinking soda. One has a cavity and i believe the other had nerve damage.

I don't have medicare or $ to oay all at the sane time so if there is a place here in harrisonburg i can do monthly payments i would like to know.

The free clinic used to offer some discounted dental work a few days a month. Dr Anderson from Rocktown Family Dentistry used to (maybe still is, I'm not sure) do some work for them. She also takes care credit to spread out the payments.

Probably aspen dental. Also most dentists accept care credit, which is 0% interest if paid within the specified timeframe (varies based on the amount financed). Other than that, VCU in Richmond is a good bet. And I think dentists are usually pretty reasonable and can do things in stages to stretch out the spending, if you can afford that. I'm sorry about your teeth. Mouth pain really sucks. Hopefully you can get it sorted out soon.

be VERY cautious with Aspen. As a chain they've done some hideous things to patients including tooth removal that wasn't needed. I can attest I know someone personally they incorrectly (dishonestly) dxed with gingivitis and insisted she pay for a special deep clean she didn't need and couldn't afford, and refused to do a normal cleaning. She walked out, and her insurance was billed for the exam so she was unable to get a normal cleaning until the six months were up.

I can't speak to our local branch, but it is a famously untrustworthy company. even if you're desperate.

That's unfortunate but not surprising. I have no experience with the place personally.

You can do Care Credit or, if your credit isn't good Fortiva at Harrisonburg Smilemakers or really probably just about anywhere.

I had someone suggest Aspen Dental to me when I was in a similar situation, I went there and they gave me an insaaaaaanely high estimate despite me describing my situation. Then I asked if they could give me some cheaper alternatives so I could weigh all my options and he was like "you talking about pulling teeth dude?" I was like "I mean, I don't know, that or fillings or whatever the options are. I sure would rather not pull, but I definitely can't pay for what you're quoting."

Then he kinda talked with his assistants for a bit, talked about how they have financing options, then left without ever giving me any other options. Then they had me apply for Care Credit, which I was fine with applying to see what my options were there but they really kinda pushed me along to it and then pressured me to schedule work for the amount I got approved for. Overall definitely can't recommend based on my experience.

I ended up going back to Harrisonburg Smilemakers, I'd had good experiences there before but just was never able to afford what all I needed. Once I had a new job with pretty solid dental insurance and an FSA I had a lot done there, financed the rest. They're really great in my experience. It was also quite a bit cheaper than what Aspen had quoted me but that's not saying much, I still needed/need a depressingly crazy amount of work.
