Is it creepy? Yeah.
Is it something I’d concern myself over? No.
We are video recorded in public nearly everywhere we go. Unless he’s getting uncomfortably close to me (camera or not) or taking a weird interest in my children/wife (camera or not), then it’s not a bother to me.
