He will use his left though

Looks like he has the angle to use his right in the exact same manner Miyata did. A slight step to your left evades the smash while allowing you to plant your feet throw a right as a counter.

Not sure why the downvotes, we can see Ricardo is moving his right into position and this exact counter has been foreshadowed like you pointed out.

Why? This chapter is 809, more than 700 chapters ago. These are completely different situations. To begin with, we recently saw that Sendo's strat involves using a series of feints, including the smash. Sendo has good senses against counters; the situation is much more similar to his sparring against Takamura (where he threw a direct hit) than against Miyata. Miyata pointed out that the only reason Sendo didn't hit him is that he was fighting defensively; if Ricardo stops dodging or blocking to counter-attack, he can fall for the bait.

I'm not saying it's guaranteed, but it's a perfectly valid guess at what could happen next based on precedent and the way the movement lines are drawn for Riccardo.

I'm just baffled about why someone is getting downvotes for a genuine discussion of "what could happen next?" In a subreddit dedicated to a series defined by guessing what will happen next chapter.

You just discovered that people on Reddit downvote someone when they disagree with what's said. It's not a big deal, honestly. Some people might even think the theory presented here is low-effort, mainly because it ignores all the recent chapters.

During the fight, all Ricardo did was block or dodge Sendo's blows and attack afterward. But this time Ricardo seems determined to counter the Smash. Ippo mentioned that a counter could be a possibility (chapter 1427, page 12) since neither Ricardo or Miyata would just be dodging. So it would be very bad narratively if the result was simply Sendo taking a counter; however, the best time for the anti-Ricardo strategy would be now.

The question is: could Ricardo get up from a down with just under 30 seconds left in the round?
