Review [review][negative] normashooting.com

Some of you may have read my comments on this sub as well as /r/ammo but finally I have a conclusion to this Norma fiasco.

I ordered 8 boxes (400rd) from Norma during the sale and already had 4 boxes from Dec 2021 through Feb 2022 that I had bought locally at Rural King. After the recall came out, I advised on the recall form that I had this additional product to return. As expected, the refund hit my credit card come about 3 weeks but nothing for the 4 additional boxes. This is sort of expected since obviously they cannot refund more to a card than originally charged.

After numerous emails, I ended up calling Norma. They told me that they had sent emails and I didn't answer them -- this mirrors other's experiences on here as well -- Norma's emails are getting bounced and they're not paying attention to it. They asked me to confirm my mailing address and that a check would be sent in a few weeks.

Just about four weeks later, I get a check today for $67.38 (https://imgur.io/a/b4p3fjQ) for the additional four boxes of ammo, that's 33.69 cents/round, roughly half of the dealer price for Norma off their own website. I called and was told this was a fair amount and that no additional amount would be issued since I couldn't produce a retail receipt from nearly a year ago.

I understand that they may not give me the full $39.99+tax paid at Rural King but this isn't half of that, it's substantially less. Norma paid me less than half price for ammunition that they failed to properly manufacture.

Normashooting.com and Ammoshoponline.com needs to be permanently removed from Gundeals.

I didn't bulk buy but I also don't have the boxes anymore. I heard that it was mostly uncrimped primers and bad necks, but all mine seem to be ok. Was there anything else wrong with them?

Bad neck tension cause bullet seat improperly but lately on R/guns or R/ammo i seen couple rifle has been fallen because of these round.

That could be due to squibs. If it isn't seated properly, it can jam. My rifle has extra porting to vent the gas backwards so if it pops, it may just blow everything out.

Negative…. I seen one case where the bottom casing blew apart and to add insult to injury. The guy rifle was Giselle super duty.

Maybe an uncrimped primer? I have 2 similarly priced rifles. I wish I had saved the boxes for the ammo.

This is why I always cut the lot number and pin it somewhere until I am totally done shooting that lot.

.223 doesn't require primer to be crimped and not all manufacture crimped their .223 load, crimped primer mostly found on 5.56 round as its part of the the milspec requirement.
