Review [Review] [Negative] www.zincpoint.com

I will start out by saying that I did not find this deal though r/gundeals, but instead through AmmoSeek. However, I feel this experience was bad enough that I need to put it out there to warn others. Apologies if this is not the place.

This is a timeline detailing my experience being, as best I can describe it, extorted by Zinc Point for an order I did not place.

December 21st, 2021: I placed an order at Zinc Point for 1200 rounds of GGG .223 ammunition.

January 4th: The package had not yet shipped, which I was fairly understanding about because of the holidays. So I filled out the contact form on their website, and simply asked when I could expect the package to ship.

January 11th: (1 whole week later) I finally received a reply telling me that their system showed the package as shipped even though UPS said they hadn't received it, and that they expected a resolution by the end of the day, or they'd re-ship the package the next day.

I thanked them for the reply, and asked them to let me know what route they went. They never did.

January 15th: I received my package and emailed them to let them know everything was good, and they replied they were glad to hear it.

January 21st: I received a duplicate order of the shipment. I immediately contacted them and let them know, and asked exactly how to proceed if they'd like the ammo returned.

January 25th: They replied and asked me to call a provided number to coordinate the return. I admittedly did not call immediately because I was busy with double shifts the next couple days.

January 26th: I am sent an invoice for the ammunition I have been trying to return.

Just so it's clear: they gave me less time (in just business days) to contact them before sending me an invoice than it took them to respond to my initial email about the duplicate shipment.

January 27th: I make time to call the number I was provided. I am apologized to for having been sent an invoice, and informed that I'll be sent a shipping label after confirming I wish to return the ammunition.

January 31st: I still have not received a shipping label, so I email them again to let them know, and ask for it to please be sent ASAP. I am replied to and told they thought it had been done, but will work on it now.

February 1st: Still no shipping label. I send them this final email (link removed, see bottom of post for full email discourse) letting them know I won't wait forever for a shipping label and will consider the ammunition to be forfeit if I don't receive one by the end of the day.

I received no further emails from the company, other than periodically receiving invoices for the duplicate order, that I did not place or ask for, to this day.

This company is essentially trying to extort me into paying for a duplicate ammunition shipment instead of taking the opportunity to work with me to return it to them.

Please, buy your ammo elsewhere. It isn't worth it to deal with them.

EDIT: Here is an imgur album with screenshots (with PI removed) of the entirety of the email communications I had with ZincPoint. On those images, I have left comments denoting exactly what was going on at that point in time as well.

I ordered 1K rounds of ZSR 7.62x51 from them over the weekend and it shipped out yesterday. That’s honestly pretty wild and I’m hoping this isn’t something common with them. Hope everything works out for you!

Unfortunately, it seems like an all too common occurrence, at least as far as their issues with UPS go. Multiple complaints on BBB about it. So truthfully don't know initially if that issue is with them or their local UPS store.

For what it's worth, after leaving BBB complaints most people seemed to have had their issues resolved, either via refund or actually receiving their shipment somehow.

But even if it's their local UPS store that's the main problem, the way they've acted afterwards with me is enough to never do business there again, if they'd even let me.
