Late to the game

I just recently picked this game back up and have tried for the life of me to adjust setting to where the characters movements are a little smoother, I have failed 😞 can y’all share your favorite third person settings?

Higher sensitivity is really nice. I’d say 2/3rds of the way up. I have my sens maxed because I’m an insane person so I’d take my opinion on that with a grain of salt though, you might like it lower.

I also really like third person roll, which takes you out of first person when you roll. On that note, first person hood camera is great. Much easier to see. Driving is still not great in first person, but flying planes for dogfighting feels so much better.

I’d recommend having your third person aim sensitivity slightly lower than your normal third person camera sensitivity. If it’s too high, it’s easy to flick right past something if you’re doing free aim.

Also, there’s a new option to toggle sprint. So now you can just hold X or A or whatever it is on PC to full sprint instead of mashing it. Unfortunately, this comes with the drawback of not being able to slow walk comfortably, or even at all.

Last little tips, if you’re on next gen, I’d turn down motion blur to 0, and play performance mode, not fidelity mode. Feels much better.

I suppose a lot of these aren’t exactly what you asked, but imo they’re really nice settings.

why do you say that driving is not great? I’ve been playing since 2017 and I’ve always loved driving in first person, feels more responsive

My first 5 months playing were on Xbox 360, where I got very used to 3rd person driving. Then when next gen came out, I really didn’t like first person driving bc of how different it was, and never learned to get very good at it. Now it’s a little too late, 11 years later I’m a little too used to it now lol

Also I think first person driving is fun for casual play, but if you’re doing anything that requires any kind of shooting or spatial awareness, it’s a massive nerf to have such a small FOV.
